I have been playing with Wool

Post by Garnet »

Been playing with Wool and getting a bit of a head start on That Which It Is Too Early To Mention.

A start on a group of Snowmen, - what is the collective noun for a group of snowmem, a Flurry of Snowmen?

A basket of Knitted and Crocheted Flowers - 2nd time of doing this, it was a good job I still had the green material. Just for fun , not the C word, ok, I fess up it was because I couldn't deal with too much of That Which It Is Too Early To Mention ( I've done pieces for cards too  )

Definitely a 'flurry of snowmen' and they are so cute and gorgeous. Well done Maureen.

Those flowers are awesome and oh so colourful and such neat even stitches too. I love them all. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Thank you so much!

Can you tell I am the kind of person who always needs to be doing something?

I envy those who can sit and watch television without keeping their hands occupied, the only time I don't have something on the go is when I am reading.

Can you bear more photos? or am I posting too much?

I agree!!! These are adorable!! And I love a flurry of wool snowmen since they are cuddly and not cold and wet. Best yet!

Thank you both, I was getting worried as I seem to be posting a lot.

I am still making more snowmen and there will be some Father Christmas too, but I have had enough of the C word for the moment.

Sooooo.... I had a play with my wool and made this

Don't know what I'll use it for yet, as I said I've been playing.

Forgot to add these earlier, again there are safety pins on the back to make them into brooches, I got the idea because I wanted a Christmas Jumper but they were all over the top, this year I'll be able to pin one of these on a red jumper and hey presto!

I didn't have any bright red beads so these will have to do.

By the way none of these are my designs, someof the crochet is from http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank and the knitted pieces are from various Jean Greenhowe booklets.

What a gorgeous pink flower Maureen , love it. A very neat idea to use the lovely holly and its red berries as a brooch too. Gorgeous work.

I want to knit this cold morning but the needles I am using at present are metal ones and my hands are cold enough without adding to ti. Guess I will just have to go sit in the sun and stitch instead. :)

Sooo cute & pretty Garnet. How clever to make those tiny things. Have patterns for similar things but not done anything that small. These certainly make you smile. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Hope you are feeling better now it is not nearly so hot but I did see on news that Hawarden was warmest place in Wales - that was by Trevor the Weather. Can hear some members tittering about his name. Like Jones the Post, eh?! Ha ha. At least it will make someone smile & that can't be bad

Thank you for the replies Lovelies, they do mean ever such a lot to me.

Country Lass, yes Hawarden regularly tops the weather charts in Wales, it's been horrible the last few days though, the humidity has been at 90+% both during the day and night, it makes it harder for me to breathe. Still the next week should be cooler and fresher. We are simply not used to extreme heat in this country and certainly not in Wales
