fccs's crochet

Post by fccs »

I decided to start a thread for my crochet, even though I don't do a lot of it. I finished this scarf this morning, simple double crochet. I made it extra long so I can wrap it around loosely to cover my mouth on those extra cold days.

The yarn is alpaca - the white is a blend of alpaca and something else - maybe Merino wool. (I tossed the label from the skeins.). The blue is 100% alpaca from a local alpaca farm and hand dyed by the alpaca farm owner. It's so incredibly soft and easy to use. Being alpaca, this is the most expensive scarf I've ever made.

It looks absolutely cosy. Alpaca is a lovely fibre. :applesauce:

I crocheted a little BB8. I have no idea what I’ll do with him but he’s cute.

He is cute, and I also like him. The only problem with him (or rather with me) is that I dont know what BB8 stands for. Thank you in advance for an explanation.

BB8 is the name of a "Droid" (android or robot) in the Star Wars movies. He appeared in Episode 7 and 8. All of the robots in these movies have names that use letters and numbers. BB8 is a real cutie.

Absolutely beautiful dogs! Our one and only Yorkshire terrier manages to be everywhere at the same time. How you cope with three - Laikas, arent they?- is above my comprehension.
