Thank you lovelies for all your kind replies.

The William Morris is on hold again (for the moment) as Bothy Threads decided to re-issue some designs as a back catalogue for download (no Wrendales though - sorry Debby - fccs) and I was delighted to get hold of their History Timeline. So I made a start, I forgot to take the before backstitch shot, so here is the first row complete.

Our lovely Sally (squirrel) sent me the chart for this and I just had to stitch it straight away, it is so right for these times we are living through. Thank You Sally. I changed to colours to my favourite Celtic colours and I'm really pleased with the way it has turned out.

The "This too shall pass" piece is beautiful, it's a Quaker style design isn't it? The other one is great fun :-)

I think you're right Mabel, the This Too WIll Pass does have a look of the Quaker style about it, it is by My Big Toe Designs.

They are both beautifully stitched. The time line looks fun stitching and the design and message are perfect!

The Bothy timeline is fun. Another of those designs composed of small 'finishes'. I love those.
The "Celtic" Quaker... well that is just so apt! :applesauce:

Update
Image

I wasn't sure about posting this one, as obviously all is not well in the world, but this is for a dear friend and the wording is apt to her. It is all hand sewn as I don't have a sewing machine and it's the first time I have ever made a cushion. I am a little bit proud.

Oh my gosh, those are all so beautiful. Your stitching is perfection and I love the wide range of design styles. I think my favorite might be your pillow because it was obviously stitched and finished with great love. I have a Moira Blackburn sampler on my wish list (so far my willpower is holding) and I have a William Morris in my stash. Your pictures make me want to get the sampler and start my William Morris.
