Podolyanka's Works 2019

Post by Podolyanka »

Image

All the colours in this photo from the telephone are wrong. To begin with, the fabric I am stitching on is snow-white in reality. This update is just to show where I am with this WIP.

It's lovely and beautifully stitched as always. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Ah, an open window, clear blue sea, sandy beach and a bowl of tropical fruit, yes please can I go there to get away from the cold and the snow please?

I myself am happy with this design as it really reminds me of summer and Queensland and swimming in the sea. The window is a brilliant idea, isnt it?

I just dont want to think about all the backstitch awaiting in the end. :D

This is such a gorgeous design and you are stitching it perfectly as always. I love it and would love to be there with a cup of coffee and just enjoy the tranquillity of the view. :) :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

You are doing a beautiful job as always, stitching it, Lyudmila! I love it AND I have this kit in my stash. :whoop: It is Tropical Vacation Window by Janlynn, isn't it? It is great to see it stitched. :D

Thank you all for your kind comments. And yes, Helene, it is Janlynn's design. It is such a pleasure to stitch! Maybe because I am missing sunshine and summer. Right Now I dont want to think about all the backstitch ahead...

Good progress! Isn't it infuriating, though, how cameras sometimes downright refuse to see the colours that you see yourself?

It must be very bright and cheerful in real life. Lovely stitching, as usual. :applesauce:

In fact, since last night when the photo was taken, I have stitched a lot on both the halves of the window.Image

Are you using 3 strands of thread for this one?

Thank you all for your kind words. Yes, I am stitching it in 3 strands as it is on 14 count Aida. 2 strands would look "bald" to me. I like it when the picture looks like velvet due to "full"/ "fat" stitches.

I remember you saying that before and your work always look perfect, no white showing. As it is a kit, will you have enough thread with the thread supplied?
