Absolutely beautiful- all of them! I had to give the flowers a second look to see why you were asking about the difference. have you made them yourself? Very well done! :applesauce:

Yes Lyudmila, the centre two are handmade, the 2nd from left is crocheted and the 3rd from left is knitted :)

:applesauce: :applesauce: What a pretty bunch they make, especially on a rather cold and dreary day. Thank you!

They are glorious, Maureen. Both the knitted and the crochet daffodils are very realistic. A beautiful sight!

It took an email reminder from dear Maureen to have another look at the picture before I realised the centre 2 were hand done.

An excellent 'job' of knitting and crochet, they just look so real. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Wow! Thought my eyes were deceiving me when I looked at those!
There I was thinking that you had 4 daffs out already when mine are just leaves poking through the soil. Vision not so good today, must find my glasses so I could look properly when I realised what I was looking at!!

   So clever and creative! Well done! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Your hand-crafted daffodils are lovely! I miss daffodils (and tulips and crocus and hyacinths and . . .on and on). It doesn't get cold enough for long enough here to set the bulbs. That picture is like a ray of sunshine!

Superb.
Wish our Daffs were out, my wife loves them and has planted a couple of thousand in the garden over the last few years, but I don't think our growing conditions on a chalky bank are good for them.

Regards,

Richard.

Thank you lovelies for all your kind replies.

Richard - these are in pots as our soil is so poor, maybe pots with general compost would work in your garden?

I am amazed anything came up at all this year as most bulbs I planted started growing in November and I knew it was far too early and the frosts would get the new shoots, which it did in one pot, however .......

Image

I thought I had planted 15 Crocus in each of the large pots, but obviously I hadn't  as there are now 28 Crocuses with the Daffodils and still the Bluebells to come in April.

The Daffodils don't usually bloom so early in this part of north Wales, despite them being the national flower of Wales and us wearing them on 1st March - St. Davids Day, so that's why I decided to knit and crochet the Daffodils so I would definitely have one to wear in case there were none in bloom in the shops either, and then my own bloom early!

Please excuse the bags on the left I was doing a spot of clearing and tidying up when I decided to take a photo before the rain set in.

Oh that is so pretty Maureen and what a magnificent display they must all be making for you. Is that 2 little snowdrops I can see in the pot to the right? They will make a beautiful display too I am sure. Yu can send any unwanted rain over here please, it is needed badly in our part of Queensland. :) Thanks for sharing some spring with us. :)

Your filial branch of real spring looks awesome! The daffodils are like small suns, the crocuses are so colourful and cheerful. Very well done.
