Back stitching ;)

Post by KarinvdB »

Hi all!

You probably don’t remember me (much). I was quite active here for a while in 2013 when I caught the stitching bug. I did a few small pieces and then got sucked into the HAED world but unfortunately my shoulder wasn’t too happy with me when I started working on small stitches. So my stitching went dormant.

Until last week. I’ve been very stressed at work, getting close to a burnout, and tried to find some relaxing things to do that don’t take too much thinking. I went to a local craft store and found 2 kits with 3 small designs each on 18 count Aida. I even dug my lowery stand out of storage (I’d almost gotten rid of it... *gasp*!). While going through the box of stitching supplies for my needles and hoop I also held my HAED projects again... I may give them a try too....

Anyway, that’s my reintroduction to stitching story. A little more background: I met my boyfriend later on in 2013, we’ve bought a house together and have been living there very happily for about a year and a half, together with my two fur babies.

Hope to keep up with this forum a bit better this time around! :)

I remember you, of course! It's wonderful to have you back here with us -- although I'm sorry that it took near-burnout for that to happen. Stitching is therapeutic, as many have found. :whoop:

 Welcome back and yes I also remember you. We have pretty good memories around here. Related to stitching and forum members anyway. Stitching is a great way to deal with stress for me. I'm so glad that you came back and am looking forward to seeing your updates.
