It's really coming together, isn't it? And I have a new appreciation of how beautiful the laid and couched work is on that leaf. 8) My favourite bit is still the snail's shell, though!

I, too, love that snails shell, closely followed by that incredibly detailed flower at the top of the design.

Thank you all! I'd been very reluctant to get started on Lexi, the one remaining "empty" bit, but over the weekend I took the plunge and she now has two "furthest" legs (furthest back, but not both back legs, if you see what I mean), a tummy and an outline
The plan is to finish her next weekend.

Good to see Lexi again and to know she will soon have her back legs - then look out who knows where she will go. :)

The model is pure charm. All that sun, and the sleeping cat, - a great atmosphere. Mabel, do you stitch on that stool? I always thought that working on the stand one has to sit in a most comfortable armchair because the arms are working so hard as compared with my stitching in hand.

Lyudmila, my left arm tends to rest on the frame, and theright arm is underneath the frame so can't really rest on anything - it's not an ideal set-up but it works (although I'm glad I've been allowed to use a smaller frame without trestles for my next modules :-) ! )

I meant that an armchair would allow your arms and back to comfortably relax every now and then. But then I am looking at the problem from my own belltower, as a saying goes. Cant help looking at your cat again and again. If the picture if so relaxing, then how is it to stroke her royal fur and to give a nice hug to the warm fluffy ball of cosiness.

The 'work station' looks very professional...although I think my old bones would have to have a cushion on that stool!!

Lexi only appears to be asleep, you notice. She's keeping a eye cracked open to check up on you!!

A perfectly perfect photo of how a cat models. However she wants to, of course
