2020 St Cross Stitchers Hospital

Post by Serinde »

No one in the wards at present, I'm delighted to report. The place is ship shape and ready to help all our lovely members.

We do have a new ophthalmology ward for 2020. :ribbit:

Just wondering Miss Wendy if that is the first pun of the New Year? If so, very clever. If not, it is still very clever.

Ah, got it now - it took me a while too when my brother-in-law posted something about starting the new year with perfect vision :-)

*crawls in through the door* Sorry to come in like this, but my rheuma got so bad this morning I can't walk. My ankle hurts like crazy. *moaning*

*climbs on the big chair* Phew! Now it's better. Thanks! Now if I could get just one painkiller and then some chocolate and some eggless buttermilk cake.

Not sure a virtual painkiller would do the job, but it's yours, plus lots of chocolate for you to choose from and slices of eggless buttermilk cake are all there on the table next to the Big Chair. :D

Thanks!
*eats the pill and munches the chocolate* Mm...tasty!
*tastes a bite of the buttermilk cake* Mmm...Just like I remembered! The taste hasn't changed a bit.

Oh dear, guys and girls...I think I take a long nap after this.

Enjoy the nap and hopefully when you wake up the pain will be all gone. Oh goody there is still a slice of the buttermilk cake left to go with another piece of chocolate. :whoop: :whoop:

*wakes up at 2 AM*
*uses the bathroom*

No way! My left leg still doesn't carry! It still hurts!
*goes back to bed as fast as she can and puts the wool socks on*
That should help! I'd better wear these the whole day. Maybe then I feel better. And my knitting bag is with me with the project inside, the green mitten. I can concentrate on that now. The needlepoint can wait for another day.
*takes a slice of her favorite cake* Mmm...The taste still has not changed. That is awesome! I think I stay here and knit all day.
*clicky click*

Now it feels my legs finally carry me! Now let's see, maybe a little surprise would do for thanks.

Delighted to know the rest worked out ok and I guess you did a fair bit of knitting too. Well Done. Now don't try and do too much all at once. :)

I almost had to hurry back, because my rheuma acted up again, but the wool socks helped and I stayed away from the ward. Autumns and springs...they are the worst times. Summers are the best.

Arrrrrrgggg
I have just discovered, the hard way, that there is a Wasp nest in our compost heap. And they are extremely grumpy at this time of year.

Three stings, one on my thumb, one on my leg and a last one at the base of my spine where it climbed up under my untucked shirt. Boy, do I hurt at the moment.

Hand is swelling up fairly fast.. Oww, oww. Taken anti histamines and pain killers, but it'll be a while before they kick in.

Regards,

Richard.
