I finished the Wyoming State Capitol back in August. This design is packed with fractional and back stitching, but it’s worth it.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Looking really good. What is fun about a piece like this is you have so many mini finishes as you make your overall progress!

I love the effect of fractional and back stitching.

My current picture doesn’t include the 1/4 stitches. Instead, the outlining will have blank corners, or if it’s inside the picture it will kind of look like the colour bleeds through. I don8t like that...so I just add the 1/4 stitches myself because I think it looks much neater.

I’ve been up in Cheyenne for the past week (dog sitting my grand dogs while my son and daughter-in-law are at work). Yesterday I decided to take pictures of what I’ve stitched so far on the Cheyenne sampler. I thought it might be fun for you to see the real things. (And yes, the sky really was that blue!)

This is the Governor’s Mansion:

And here is the Wyoming State Capitol:

And lastly, here is the railroad depot (excuse the sunbeam across the picture):

Can see them now. (How odd!) Good pics, and the design reflects them well. Oh, for the days when railway stations were temples to travel!

I agree. It's fun to see how close the stitching is to "the real thing"
