This one seems to be going faster than the others. Then again, BB8 was just about the fastest Droid in the Star Wars Universe

On to the back stitch. This one went fast. It is the smallest one so far which makes me love him even more. (Amazing how droids are male or female, even the ones who beep for communicating)

He was so much fun to stitch, especially after Darth Vader. For one thing the stitching had very few of the loosely woven threads to stitch over, which slows stitching down. 9 characters done and 4 to go. Won't be done by Christmas but maybe by Valentine's Day??

Just getting started on this one. My guess is it won't be hard to guess who this is, especially since the number of unstitched characters is decreasing. Probably won't be updating this Saturday as this is an unusually busy week for me and won't have a lot of time for stitching. (Plus I have a Stashmas Card to work on )

I've never watched Star Wars Sagas, but it fascinating to see this great afghan progressing.

I didn't watch them either. That BB8 is lovely, the backstitching is very effective.

Didn't have a lot of time to stitch over the past two weeks. My grandson got married (their 18mt old daughter was the star of the show as a flower girl who wouldn't cooperate and was carried down the aisle by her 8 y.o. sister while crying DaDa all the way down to finally sit on my daughter's lap and cheer up, though she did point out every plane that flew overhead. It was an outdoors ceremony. Maybe I'm just a very proud great grandma but I do think the flower girls were the hit of the evening)and my sister was here and it was a great but exhausting week.

Anyway, here's my next update:

Great progress and update, and I love the flower girl story.

When my son and DIL married, her nieces were the flower girls. During the ceremony, they were swinging on the altar rails, and at the end of the ceremony, the priest had to crouch down and talk them into walking back down the aisle because they were totally uninterested in doing so. (My son and DIL laughed when they saw the video of the altar rail shenanigans because they had no idea what the girls were doing.)

Yes it is! Only a few more to go but not going to be done by Christmas. My daughter thinks I should wrap it as a present anyway so that my whole family will get to see it. And then take it back with me to finish up. I'm considering it. Also gives me a bit more time to decide on what will be in the middle. Feedback on this idea will be appreciated.

Is the center design going to be bigger than or the same size as the other designs? Can you squeeze in the “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” crawl that starts the movies? Or maybe “Star Wars” in a font to match the movies?

Thank you ladies for your ideas. Yes I am planning on doing the beginning crawl and I have a lot of Yoda quotes and a few others I will probably spread around it. I think I have a font that will work, but if not I have a few other Star Wars charts that will he help me. After Luke I only have 3 or maybe 4 figures left. There is plenty of room in the middle of the Afghan for just about anything. I’m open to suggestions.
