Finished an 8 hour shift at work at 10pm so watched an episode of The Last Kingdom on Netflix (huge Bernard Cornwell fan) and then decided to start 'The Autumn' by Luca-S! Have done a teeny, weeny, tiny start to it and oh boy look at the big blank canvas I have to fill! :o

Dont be afraid of that blank fabric you need to fill in, Nicola. Luca's charts are pure perfection, a great result is always guaranteed, so go ahead and enjoy the process. Happy stitching.

I am amazed that you could even see to stitch that much in the wee small hours!!

But it's a Start and all the good for that! :applesauce:

I love those brand new starts. It's like starting a new adventure but with a road map (the chart). I am looking forward to watching the progress on this project!

At least it will keep you out of mischief for some time to come. Yes there is a big expanse of unstitched area but the trick is to concentrate on what is done not what is to do. An interesting start for sure. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Started a free Christmas SAL from Lakeside Needlecraft last night and just finished part 1 of 4 just now. Love to do backstitch so this design suits me! Part 2 released on Wednesday!

Bright! 8) :applesauce:

Just put in an order with Lakeside, and noticed their SAL "wreath"... I'm tempted.

That's lovely. Have you thought what you might do with it?

P.S. (I thought it would be good as a drinks coaster )

That's a super idea Jo! I think the finished design will be 4 squares in total all joined by the border. Looking forward to the next part xxx

I'm always interested in The Lakeside 'Freebies' I did their Hardanger one as a gift for our Post Lady on her retirement in France. I always thought that I might do it again for myself.
That looks very pretty...I might just be tempted too.
:D

I think I need to wake up my Stitching Bug with some small designs before going back to my 2 WIP's!

Lovely stitching, and such a nice bright pic.

I also like doing backstitch….though my current picture is really trying my patience. Lol
