That's my feeling, especially at the time of year we won't yet mention out loud.

I just dropped my card in the mailbox. It should be picked up tomorrow and can start its journey across the pond.

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop: IT's HERE MABEL. and oh so gorgeous. Thank you so very much for such a beautiful card and the message inside. Included with it are 2 twists of Filoselle ?silks in Christmas Red & Green. You have made my day for sure. I now have to wait until the family get home to share the beauty.
Amazingly it has only taken just over 3 weeks which now gives me a good idea of when I should have all my overseas cards in the post. Better get busy me thinks.
I have taken a picture of it on my phone but can't find a way for getting it any further and Jenny is at work until 4pm when we both have a podiatry appointment and then she has a a meeting at work at 6pm which as treasurer she has to attend. Tomorrow looks almost as crazy which is sad as she is exhausted. Her manager's illness has struck the wrong week.
Also Phil is at work today, not working from home so as soon as I can corral either my dear daughter or son in law I'm stuck.

Sally, I sent you a PM a couple of days ago but it is still in my Outbox - have you seen it at all? Could it be that your Inbox is full, in which case it just doesn't accept new ones?

Mabel I have read your Message about 10 min ago and now I can't find it to reply too. I rarely even notice that there are PMs there as I usually just take a quick peek and log out again. I have been so busy lately - mostly trying to get stitch of some motifs for cards so I could post at least some of the UK/Europe mail off last Thursday when Jenny and I did our grocery shopping. Now when I went to look at your post again it had vanished.
For some reason phones, internet etc are acting up big time this morning. Phil has said he will look into it later, he has just been called out on an urgent job so perhaps others are having problems too.
Sorry to read that the Netherlands has gone into lock down again. Hopefully it won't be for too long and you can make that trip very soon. Here all State borders - with the exception of WA - will open their boarders once the double vaccinations administered reach 80% of the population which means our border will be open to every state - but only if you have had had the full dosage. No vaccine no move anywhere. Our Premier is heading for a major fall come elections next year unless the PM can get her to see some sense. It really is crazy as she keeps changing the rules.
I must get hold of Jenny at some time today and ssee if she can upload a photo of the gorgeous card you have sent and those beautiful silks. They will be kept for a special project sometimes in the next few years. I still have a pile of Anchor threads that belonged to my grand mother. I will have to find a special project for them - once I have completed her almost finished supper cloth plus a couple of tray cloths my mum never finished!!!
Maybe one day I will be finished my own bits and bobs and can get onto these lovely embroideries and bring them into the light once again.
Must away and get some emails answered and then settle to stitching.
With Thanks, Love Blessings & Prayers Sally

That's gorgeous. Amazing job Nicola.

I have, in the last 10 minutes, just finished the cross stitching on the card for Serinde, so I am probably a day or two ahead of schedule. Next is designing the backstitch, probably a good idea before starting the stitching.

Regards,

Richard.

Well done, Nicola. Carole, I think I’d be tempted to display it beyond the holidays.

I did say that to Nicola too. It's likely to be on the mantel piece for a good long while after the holidays are over.

About 15 years ago I hand made cards for my family. One sister-in-law puts it away with all her decorations and puts it up every year.
