The Wombat is Back!!
HI Everyone!!
After a week of packing boxes, taking rubbish to the recycle tip and running in ever deceasing circles we've finally unpacked the last of those boxes, installed the washing machine and tumble dryer, set out the sitting room and kitchen!
The cupboards are full, but I don't know where anything is yet as started out putting things where I thought was logical...but the fatigue took over and I put stuff away in any old place...well you do don't you!!
The new house is now starting to feel like home.
Also we had to clear and clean the Rental cottage as our tenancy ended yesterday...we managed with one day to spare.
The weather was appalling last week so we were dodging the rain showers...it's been lovely today though.
I've not been able to post photos as somehow my phone will take them but i can't get them to transfer.
Good to be back 'online' again and I will be catching up.
I've instructed The House Elves to lay out the Party in the S&G See y'all there!

Welcome back
Looking forward to the pics of your new house and you made it in with plenty of time for things to sort themselves out before Christmas
See you in the S & G

It takes a couple of weeks to know where things should go and even more to find where we put themwendywombat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 4:02 pm

DH can still tell me exactly where things he is looking for were in our previous house, which we left nearly 16 years ago

Welcome back!!!! And congratulations on having what sounds like a smooth move. My absolutely least favorite
task in the world is moving. I tell the kids, this house will be their problem one day so I have tons of admiration for the moves you have made
these past few (2?) years. Moving countries in the middle of a pandemic etc. Enjoy settling in!

Re: The Wombat is Back!!
Thankyou!
If I say that I'm thinking of moving house again then PLEASE remind me of this last and Final move!
Carole...you are so right! Moving house from one country to another in the middle of a Pandemic as well as during dreadful 'B' word is nothing short of ridiculous!
BUT We Did It!!
We are now beginning to realise what we have achieved.

Delighted to read that you are now in your abode with everything put away. You will gradually sort out your cupboards etc over the coming weeks I am sure. In the meantime relax and enjoy your new surroundings.

Welcome back! Moving is a challenge and it can be exciting and stressful. The kitchen is the hardest part for me - which cupboards are for dishes and glasses and storage is a big decision and one we have to live with…because who in their right mind will reorganize kitchen cupboards after everything is put away?
