I love the designs. This one seems cheerful to me, for some reason.

If you hadn't told us that some of it was guesswork we'd never have, erm, guessed - it looks as cheerful and attractive as the others!

Thanks, all!
Does anyone have any tips for stitching on 14ct plastic canvas? I’m making a “cottage”, and the parts are all laid out on this sheet of plastic canvas. Obviously it can’t go into a hoop. I’m hoping there’s an alternative to trying to lace it onto some sort of frame. (I don’t actually want to cut out the various parts before I’ve stitched them, either, if it can be avoided. Counting…

I've used plastic canvas before for christmas decorations. I just stitched it as is, the plastic is ridged while it is a whole sheet.
The mistake I made was to cut out the pieces as I completed them and that made the sheet more flexible and harder to work on.

This Darice brand plastic canvas is thinner than anything I used in the past — very flexible as it is probably only 1mm thick. It’s almost like using an Aida with lots of sizing. I’m hoping that the more stitching there is, the easier it will be.

A couple of thoughts:
How about finding some strips of something ridged and over sewing them round the edges, say wooden coffee stirring sticks or preferably something longer. I have some bamboo skewers which are longer than a piece of paper with a flat section.
Better still you can get some plastic spines that are supposed to go around the sides of a few sheets of paper to make them into a document. They are sort of tear drop in section with the paper going in on the pointed part of the tear drop. You could put those round the edge to make it more ridged.

Great ideas. I think I have some of those plastic spines lurking (doesn't everyone?), so I'll try that.

It takes a surprising amount of fibrefill!
