I found a new (to me anyway) DMC variegated colour recently and thought I'd try it on this one! I like the shade a lot, it's nice and bold.

What a pretty card! And I love the way variegated threads and yarns look. And this is a very beautiful one. Makes the card very special.

I'd hoped to do the whole tree yesterday but other things got in the way (not least setting up the real - well, real artificial - Christmas tree); still, I've got the Klosterblock base done. Tonight we're at church wrapping presents for Angel Tree (which provides presents for the children of people in prison; sent as though coming straight from the parent) but I hope to be able to do the rest of the surface stitching and perhaps even the cutting, then bars & filling stitches tomorrow.
With the materials I have in my stash at the moment I can put together 5 kits at most, but I hope the other supplies will arrive soon!

Love the colours! Is it a piece to be finished in any way you see fit, or will it be, for example, a card kit?

I'm leaving this as a project-only kit - it's a little on the big side for a card but I have made it into a (rather clumsy...) ornament myself, and one lady sent me a picture of the ornament she had made of this design which looked much better than mine

I was thinking little Christmas bag/pouch with a gap at the top to hide some sort of goodies in for a surprise/gift

Oooh, that's an interesting idea!
I changed to a smaller hoop as I'm working on a remnant of fabric - for the kit I'll cut the fabric larger so it fits more comfortably in a 6" hoop.
