I finished the cat ornament!
Image
I made a little slow progress on Tis the Season, there were a lot of 1/4 & 3/4 stitches.
Image
I just need to finish his feet and tail, then do the words and backstitching so I hope to finish it in the next couple of weeks.

I also dug through my stash and did a new start! :D
I wanted to do a small quick one, this has been in my stash a long time.
It is called Gift Wrapped Cat and it came with the cute red frame.

Here is my progress so far.

( Sorry I don't have a photo of the finished framed baby cross stitch yet, I will try to get one on my next visit with my grandson)

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I love the ornament and congrats on a lovely finish! Progress does slow down a bit when there are a lot of fractional stitches but Tis the Season looks good and the Gift Wrapped Cat reminds me of a cat I had years ago who was obsessed with string of any kind, including ribbon. He once got himself tangled up in some ribbon he found. Fortunately he didn't wrap it around his neck or try to eat it, which he did on occasion.

The little cat ornament is so cute, and you're making good progress on Tis the Season. The little one with the frame reminds me of smalls I used to do while waiting at my son's swim lessons, scout meetings, etc. I loved doing them. I might have a book with similar smalls...might have to dig through my craft closet.

Thank you for the nice comments.
I am now halfway done with the Gift Wrapped Cat.

I got this kit when my kids were little and I had my first cat, who was black and white.
The cats in the cross stitch looked a lot like her.

I just finished Tis the Season today! :D I will frame it myself.

I am glad to be done with it!

A quick little update, I framed Tis the Season.

I'm about halfway done with the 2nd cat on Gift Wrapped Cat.

I may not have much free time for stitching for a while but I will try to pop in from time to time to see what everyone else is working on.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Perfect frame for a really fun piece. and good progress on your Gift Wrapped Cat. My living room (which has become a cat playroom) is filled with tissue papers that Rosey loves to jump in and attack toys that have become hidden underneath it. Sometimes I think its a good thing she lets me live in her house.
