It has, although it has also clarified how difficult it is to get it really neat and correct!

Oh, yes! But I expect it gets easier over time, as with most new crafts? I feel much the same way about bookbinding. I'd love to learn, but I feel the precision is perhaps beyond me at this point. Perhaps it's just finding the space (literal and figurative) to be able to concentrate? (Anyway, it means a whole new set of equipment and stash, which really, really won't fly in our house!)

I think it looks lovely and since I know nothing about how it should look, I think it looks perfect!

and if she is like every cat I have ever owned, except for Rosey who is unique in so many ways, she will find a way to fit herself into that box!

Whichever is smallest, clearly. 8)

Beautiful stitching. Love the way the light bounces off the threads.

It doesn't seem to matter How Small a box, bag or space it is....to a cat that is. They will find a way of Making it Fit!!

I can see why it's a challenge to your eyesight.
The shading on the green is so subtle, but so life like.

Take time to rest your eyes and do some middle and distance focusing to relax your eye muscles and vision.
I expect you know this already, so forgive the reminder please.

You have a good depth of colour and thread there Mabel, it really is coming alive.

Have you used split stitch to outline under the outer edge first before doing the directional Long and Short stitch in order to provide the depth round the edges?

Thank you ! Yes, definitely split stitch outline, lifts it and keeps it neat!

I love seeing your embroidery. People say there are relatively few cross stitchers, but I feel there are even fewer embroiderers. I did a little crewel and embroidery back in the day. It was fun but my talent was no where near yours and I found cross stitch and counted canvas were my true loves.

That's the great thing about needlework, there are so many types and we all pick the ones we love!
