My stitching bug has gone AWOL too....
But I still love looking at everyone's beautiful creations.

Bit more dragon - mostly done at my stitching group. Quite pleased with the progress, it doesn't look much but it was a lot of "two stiches in one blend, three in another".

You are brave stitching with split threads at a stitching group I always take something really simple along to do because it is too easy to go wrong.

It's because I don't really mind about this one (I care about it, but I don't mind, if that makes sense) so it's really relaxed stitching even when it's blends and partial stitches. If I get one wrong, I unpick as long as it doesn't mean unpicking too much, if I miss one, I fill it in later. I'm enjoying this dragon !

I go to a craft group, mostly with my knitting but last week I took some Hardanger...not that I managed to do much!
It's all in the Chatting you understand! I've never taken any cross stitch work.

Last Friday the kit for my Introduction to Box Making turned up, very exciting even though I won't be able to start it for a while (bit more info in FoF). This is what the box will eventually look like (if all goes well):



And here is what's in the kit: fabrics and ribbon



Cut mountboard - the main reason why I wanted a kit as they have to be very very precisely cut to make the thing work!



And threads, needles and tape (yes, one of the ways fabric is attached to the mountboard is sticky tape. The other is lacing)

Excellent place to start!

Looks like it will be fun and then you will have another amazing skill to add to your already amazing repertoire!

Getting on with the dragon, who is still nameless - but at least I now know what I'm going to do with him! He will be a decorative patch on my box of needles, rather than yet another needle book.
