Its got three little sisters But it looks like only one of them is easily available in the UK unless you go directly to DMC.

They are tempting as well

No, as it is very quiet on the Forum I am trying to encourage some interest by playing a game of guess what irresistible thingy Jo could not contain her enthusiasm for (and is now looking at her credit card balance and wondering if she really should have done that ). I have ordered it and am hoping it will arrive before next weekend.


Next clue: it includes a lot of DMC thread.

I bet it's a complete set of DMC skeins in a chest of drawers. The chest has "DMC" routed into the fixed front above the top drawer. And if it is... It was a brilliant idea even if buyer's remorse has kicked in.

Richard Wins. Yes all 500 DMC colours with a "free" chest to put them in.



Lets see how long it takes Very Crafty to deliver it (they never seem to be in any rush ) Weighing in at 24lbs I am interested to see who they are going to ship it with.


My parents gave me some money for Christmas and reminded me I had to spend it on something special. I think this counts

Totally agree! It is a handsome chest.

Its leaving me with lots of questions, not least which threads to put in which drawers. 5 drawers with 5 compartments implies 20 skeins per compartment but I already have some spare skeins .

With the spares in mind I spent this evening combining my boxed bobinated set of spare threads and some I inherited. They are now spread across 12 plastic compartmented bobbin boxes. What was striking was how many of some of the colours I have and the vast holes.

To put the volume of threads into perspective I bobinated the spare set of TW Peacock tapestry threads and they filled one of the compartmented bobbin boxes on their own. These ex-kit threads are all pre-cut threads so I hope to keep the pre-cut threads on the bobbins and leave the full skeins in the new box.
