HAED often do that as well, I hear. I think it's lazy designing myself.

I've had another symbol with only two stitches required and two different unique colours. Never mind I had them. Before I do the backstitching:

I've saved half the border so the backstitching does not make me go too dotty  And I am going to have to choose a colour to outline her belt with as there is nothing listed for it.

And with the backstitching:

I had been finding her two empty eyes very spooky

I chose to change the backstitching colour on the top half of her dress. The bottom half is 3011 which is a darker green, the top I chose to change to 3012 which is a lighter colour which I felt went better on the yellow bodice of the dress.

Good choice on the bodice and yes the eyes do look much better now!

This is looking great! You are getting really close to finishing it soon.
I wonder what you will work on next?

Definitely like the eyes in the after picture better.

The picture is beautiful.

Exactly!!

As I turn the final corner I did a quick calculation of how many Heather Mauve beads I have to put on: 16 triangles of 6 on each side is 384 beads  Each packet of Millhill seed beads contains 500 beads so allowing for a number of rejects one packet should be enough...

Image

I also need to finish off the net pattern in the corners.

Time to start thinking about the next one to do :D and now I remember the hours of preparation that will be needed

That is a lot of beads  but they do add a lovely texture and colour

Phew made it:

It was a bit cloudy when I took that  I will have to try again when the sun is out.

I got rather bored doing all the mauve beads and started setting up for the last season. There is 93 separate colours of which about a dozen over lap with this one

I have just started the fourth Fairy :D Only another two after to go...

Cannot do anything other than agree with Mabel. A lovely finish. So neat & precise. Those beads don't seem to show very strongly in the photos. Do they seem noticeable in the flesh so to speak?

Very, very nice, though. Good luck with the next ones.

Regards,

Richard

Thank you :D

The weather was glorious today and as the ground was still wet I felt I was justified in reminding myself how nice it is doing some stitching in my conservatory:

I thought an excellent opportunity to work on my Bothy threads "Sunshine"

A perfect decision, I'd say.

Its raining... again  So I am beginning to dream of summer:

You can just about make out I have reached the inner circle of the border so putting that in place is my next task.

Doing a summery design when the weather is rubbish is great therapy!

It was lovely in the garden yesterday but my stitchy bug was active so I found myself stitching late into the night:

Image

As the night progressed I used it as an opportunity to recover some of the threads from my previous Fairy's sorting cards back onto bobbins. I have decided trying to recover the split threads is just wasting good stitching time. While all four of these Fairies use the same symbols it proved too much to hope that it would continue onto the Woodland one so time to recover what I could. I hate throwing anything away but relative to the time it takes to recover thread and honestly it is not expensive.

I have a cheap grocery delivery this afternoon so instead of a 1 hour slot I have a four hour slot when I have to keep an eye out for them :thinks: So I will have to be around in the dinning room which means I have an excuse for more stitching :tizzy: Which is good as I won't be able to stitch this evening as I am going to a "Darks Skies Event": The local Wildlife Rangers have organised a night walk on the Heath followed by looking at the stars and planets through telescopes. The weather is looking clear so fingers crossed we actually get to see something.
