I  this! Where did you find the pattern? I've been looking for something similar for my daughter. My hubby did one of Ariel's face for her birthday, but I know she would love something like this. I'll be watching this one closely!! I'm sure when my daughter sees it, she'll ask for it. :D

It'll be lovely and colourful for you as a change from the colours of the tree wont it.
So there's a great reason for you to have two on the go. lol.
Look forward to updates.

Try get some stickers and stick them on her potty. Or if its the normal toilet find some that remove from the walls and stick them somewhere for her to see them. Just an idea.

What count are you stitching it on?

I have taken the picture off the internet and put it through PC stitch at 200 colours!

Then edited it by hand to reduce it down to 125 colours.
I then printed out the pattern.

Most of the colours are just the outlines so I am stitching the pattern "loosely" and just doing the main colours. So the colour count will be even less when its finished. Its a real challenge but I think I can do it. I am going to put the outlines back in as over stitching/outline stitches. (term?)

Anyway it is being done on 14 count aidia cloth.
Each strand of cotton will be 3 strands.

I'll take a photo of the progress so far.... very soon
