Blastoise!

Post by ~threadbear~ »

Well while I'm waiting for my fabric to arrive for my dog project, I thought I'd stitch a little something for my youngest son.
He's been through alot over the past few months, so I wanted to find something he'd like and settled on Blastoise, one of his favourite pokemon characters from a freebie chart I downloaded ages ago.
Its on 14ct aida, and boy does it seem massive after working on all the smaller counts recently. The coaster was 30ct over 1.
I'm enjoying it though, it's a change to be able to see it easily!

Anyhow, will put up a pic later when I have made a bit of headway with it.
:D

My boyfriend used to call me Jigglypuff. No matter how many times I slapped him for it.

Oh he is. I always went for Charmander though in the games. It was harder because the first boss is rock type which is weak again water and earth, but fire doesn't phase it, yet Charmander is so cute and he cries "Char char"

Ok, so I won't put the pattern picture up as angel has already shown you what Blastoise looks like, although I think he looks much cuter than that myself  . The pattern I'm using has all three on it, but I've just taken Blastoise off for this piece.
I've used some metallic in with the white to give him a bit of 'bling'. :king:
I'm doing him on 14ct aida and there are 14 colours in this plus also the metallic I added myself, so 15 altogether.

Haven't done much really yet, but here we are so far:

Thank you Agi :D

haha! Well first I used the one you sent Mabel with one white thread, but the coverage wasn't good, so then I tried it with two white threads, but the metallic got lost. :(
So I was back with the treasure braids. One white thread and one of TB.

Was going to ask you if you find they work better on the higher count fabrics generally?
