WIP Stained Glass - completed 01 Nov 08

Post by Dazbo666 »

Another new mini project from a freebie pattern that I downloaded from a website...

Yesterday...
Image

...and my progress today...
Image

It's only about 36 stitches along each side, so I'm considering stitching a pair of the same design, and having a go at making them into my first biscornu project - just to see if I can do it

I've had it for quite a while, but from memory I think it was one of the free downloads from Craft Creations magazine. (Although I can't remember which issue  )

Oooh, very vibrant Daz. I would have a field day with all my bling in there.
Be interested to see what you think of making a biscornu, I've never attempted one yet either.

Thanks for all the constructive comments. Much appreciated.

Well, update as of yesterday afternoon (Tues 14th)....

I finished the 1st panel

and made a start on the second panel
Image

I've actually completed a little more of the 2nd panel than this due to insomnia overnight, but surprisingly didn't feel like taking and uploading photos at 2am (especially when I was back at work before 7am  )

Looks like it was quite nice to stitch as well. Nothing too monotonous.

Yes it's nice to have simple geometric shapes with not too much repetition.
It's very relaxing that I don't have to be constanly double-checking each stitch for a change

Just got to try to get the second panel finished (and to get my hands on some of that cuddly toy filler for the biscornu)

It's great, Daz, and I am sure you will be able to finish it.
I encourage everyone to try biscornu, it's so much easier done than it seems!

Sorry about your insomnia, Daz. Do you know Stephen King's Insomnia? It's one of my favourites. Not so much for the "fantastic" line in it but for his psychological insight - at least that's what it seems to me.
