Not far off finishing the crosses now - just a couple more feathers to do. Then there is absolutely loads of *whispers* backstitch, Louise  Plus I have to sew some beads on. Not too much left though, hopefully I will get chance to finish it over the next week.

Here's the next update for this one. I managed to finish the orange and yellow feather on Friday, but hadn't managed to take a photo until today. There's one more large feather to do next to that one and then two small feathers at the top and that's all the cross stitch finished. Then it's backstitch round the edges, backstitch for the verse and I have to sew on a few beads. Not too much more to do.

I do like how many colours the feathers have in them, really effective :applesauce:

Unusually for a Monday, I had a couple of hours of peace and quiet and managed to get a bit more done. The other largest feather done, now only two little ones to go and that's all the crosses done!

Such an unusual use of colors, :applesauce: but they make this pattern really stand out. Wonderful progress as usual!!!!

Well, I managed to get some time free again today and have finished the other two little feathers. Now I'm starting on the backstitch and have got a small section done. I'll take a photo when I get home. There's LOADS of black backstitch outlining everything and then some gold and navy shades as well. Then I've got the lettering to do. It's not that daunting though, the backstitch seems to be coming along quite quickly. I'm hoping I'll get this finished over the next few days.

I love to do lettering it goes so fast and backstitching can be very quick also. I like to do that to as long as it is not a MS pattern :?

Here's the next piccie - my backstitching got rudely interrupted by having some work to do so I didn't get as far as I'd have liked

Wow, doesn't that make it stand out well! (Mind you, part of me likes the rather vaguer outlines of the unbackstitched version as well...)

That looks great. I love the way the backstitching makes all of the detail jump off of the fabric. :applesauce:
