Had a bit of a accident last night and trapped my fingers ina very heavy fire door

Anyways the upshot is I spent from 7.45 till 11.30 in the casualty department and have to go back for 7.30 this morning to have surgery to see if I've damaged any tendons, Its a bit messy at the moment I've lost half my nail on my middle finger and can't bend 2 of my other fingers but they are just badly bruised not broken.

The surgeons are going to take out the other half of my nail this morning and then I guess we'll see what happens from there.

I'm not looking forward to this in the slightest as I don't do hospitals well at all. I'm not allowed to eat or drink till after the surgery so as you can imagine I'm desperate just for a sip of water at the moment I'm on extra strenght painkillers so feeling rather light headed and also on anti-biotics as it was a open wound.

So yeah just had to cry for some sympaty as it blooming well hurts and I need hugs and lots of them

Hopefully they'll be able to sort it and the tendons will be fine. I really, really hope so.

Ouch! Poor Dawn, I can almost feel it! I hope they do a good job and get it fixed for you and that it all heals quickly. Big hug from me!

Youch! Hope all is well, and try not to get too wound up about the hospital -- all they want to do is patch you up. And even hospitals are a bit less grim at Christmas... for you and too.

Oh Dawn I really hope it all goes well for you today, just look forward to getting home and loads of and call in to see us all at the stash and grab when you feel like it. Perhaps you will have to treat yourself to some extra stash for being sooooo brave

Huge Im such a baby if I just break a finger nail abit far down so I can only imagine how painful this must be, it had me wincing just reading this I hope it get better soon!!

I'm back please excuse typos i'm working left handed here

THeres no serious tendon damage however I have pulled a few and I'm in a sling and all plastered up for the next two weeks then I go back and get the plaster n stitches taken out, I'm on antibiotics anti inflamtories and painkillers 3 times a day for the next week so if im not about ypu all know why Oh and Im not allowed to work for the next 6 weeks to allow the tendons chance to unstretch and the swelling to go down.

Thankyou all for the hugs I so need them I only got out the hospital 30 minutes ago and I've been there since 7.20 this morning
