Free Borders

Post by Ekidna »

I was wondering if any of you can recommend any websites where I could find border patterns?

I made a terrible error with one of my pieces a few months ago, and need to hide it with a border. I keep meaning to get a book with these kind of things in.

I just went to Patterns Online and they have 338 in their border secttion http://www.patternsonline.com/Patterns/List.aspx I would think 123stitch also. I can't think of a freebie link right off but will look more after work.

Ok, cheers! Some great designs on site!! Have added to favourites.

I just need something fairly simple, even just backstitched and "scrolly", sorry I'm not being very clear am I? My brain like custard today!

You could try on Cyberstichers.com freebies

Here are some borders, but I don't know if it's exactly what youa are looking for.

Oooh, another site I can add to my faves, thank-yuo.

I've actually started dooodling on some graph paper. Its for the join lines on my mermaids picture(in galley). I had either ordered the wrong size or recieved wrong size, prob the first  and did not discover until had stitched half the design!

I ordered another piece and attached but the join is still bout an inch into the stitching both top and bottom....

So, because of the design I thought I might get away with a nice swirly/scrolly backstitched in gold Kreinik with maybe a spattering of beads band at top and bottom.

Hope that makes sense!!
