Nervous, excited and a bit scared!

Post by Lizzieh »

As some of you know I have been looking for a job for ages. Well I had a preliminary interview for a job as a clinical coder which is a type of administrator within a hospital. I have now been called for a second interview. SO what's so scary........
the job is in Cornwall, about 4 hours away from where I live now.
I am really ready for a fresh start and this could be it but it means leaving my children here with my ex and driving back to visit every other week.
Been down to Cornwall this week and have seen a park home that I could buy with my divorce settlement so the boys would be able to come and stay with me and my partner and they are excited about it, but it all seems very scary.
Of course, first of all I have to get the job. Interview is not until the 21st September.

Good luck! Like you said, maybe a fresh start is what you need even if it does mean moving away from your children. You know you'll still be able to see them even if it isn't as much as you are right now or want. They'll be happier in the end if you are happy!

Best of luck with your interview - a pity that they're making you wait for so long though!
On a good point, when I got called back for a "second interview" for this job, it wasn't an interview at all, it was to offer me the job! (they said they didn't want to offer me the job over the phone!!!)

Just got back from Cornwall and my interview. I think it went well but they won't be notifying the successful person til next monday!!! I can't believe how long this particular job application process has been going on!
Went to have a look at a lovely house to rent near to where the job would be. Have fallen in love with it but can't say we definitely want it til I have heard about the job so hope it won't have gone!

One more week of being patient
