I hope you are a lot better now.

The forum should have a map with pins in so we can see at a glance the forum spreading around the world!

Morning Serinde,

That is a good idea. Why not drop alex an email with the idea. I am sure he can come up with something. We seem to be getting busy now. So, any ideas like yours are probably best sent direct via an email to alex or myself.

Otherwise, as with the last couple of days, one us may miss the thread.

I am a lot better thank you. Sadly, I am ill quite often but I promise to catch up with everyone and everything the best I can when these down times occur.

I have been checking through the postings and it is lovely to see your regular posts. Don't you just love that feeling when you know you have helped someone with a query or made another new friend :?:

Anyway, it is nice to be back I could not possibly catch up with every individual, so I posted a new topic with a new hello just to let people know we are happy to have them on board and look forward to making friends. It's amazing how many people are finding us and especially from abroad too.

I am happy to see it all coming together. Keep posting :)

Happy days

Bagpuss, I've emailed Alex as instructed, ma'am.

I can't usually stay on line for lengths of time -- have to earn a living! -- so I can only drop in and out during the day. However, I rarely resist sticking my oar in!

Hi, smilte

to answer your question, Ive just finished stitching a teddy ted design with a heart balloon. Its for my daughter to give to her boyfriend for valentines.

Now Ive just started stitching a ballerina using light effect threads.... so far Ive only done the skirt and leotard part, but already its stunning with the light effects..... they are all purples - my fav colour.

I am soon going to start a wedding sampler for a friend who is getting married.

And who knows what else I will start inbetween time!!!

Great to met you all

Sue

Purple-FP, Where do you find the time?! I seem to have so much to do. Or, alternatively, I'm a slow stitcher and disorganised... :? Quite possible!

Too true! The only time I get to stitch to my heart's content is when I'm away on holiday, and that's usually only for a week. Otherwise I find that I have to do all the chores, and 'proper' working, before I can relax.

I don't know about anyone else, but the dust in my house whispers to me when I'm at the computer working, and my work calls to me when I'm in the vegetable garden... No, Not Crazy! Just too much on the go at once. Stitching sits longingly in the corner, hoping I'll sit down for a bit. And sometimes I do!

Anyway, it's Friday, and I'm looking forward to an evening off! Bellpull, here I come! (After making dinner, doing the dishes, a bit of laundry...)

hi

Well to be honest and put things in perspective, it does sound like Im doing alot of stitching, but in actual fact Im not spending anywhere near as much time doing it as I would like.

I only stitch in the evenings after the kids; well more so my youngest, are in bed. Having said that I dont have every evening spare.

The last couple of things Ive stitched have in all fairness been quite small. Plus I have to confess as to having had a few too many late nights when I havent been able to put the stitching down. Of course I pay the price the next morning, and then go onto find Ive inevitablly made mistakes on the stitching!!!

I think there should be some kind of rule in the lives of cross stitchers, where you automatically have a certain amout of hours a week dedicated to it..... you know, like a working week is an average of 40 hours, well how about that dedicated to stitching.....

hmmmm..... now theres a thought!

have a great evening to you all

cya over the weekend some time.

Sue

I'm from LIthuania, so sorry, for my english
I've just found this forum too, believe me there's nothing wrong with your English. I've been a stitcher for about 58 years and do all kinds, in fact will turn my hand to any craft. Busy knitting for a new grand child at the moment. Don't know how to make those smilie faces appear in my text but I'm learning. Nice to know there are so many nice people out there. :D
