Nutty's first HAED - The Queen of Hearts - updated 28/09/10

Post by nuttystar »

So I couldn't resist and I made a start on my first HAED - The Queen of Hearts. After around 4 days of stitching this is how far I got. I have got further since then and I will post that pic later tonight :)

Edit: This pic no longer exists because of my re-start :(

I love this one and look forward to seeing it stitched up. I'm curious what fabric you used also?

I am using the recommended fabric which is 25 ct Dublin linen. But I am a little worried since the fabric seems to be quite fluffy and with the design being quite dark, the fluff is visable ontop of the stitches. I am hoping that I will stop noticing it soon since I don't really want to start again!!

As promised (although a little later) here is an update after another couple of nights stitching. I am stitching in columns of 10 since I don't like the idea of relying on grids and I don't want to get lost. I have just started the third column. The picture is of poor quality and looks like it is one big block of black. It is mostly black but there are a few confetti stitched of purple and brown in there :)

Image

I am really enjoying stitching this and although I should be getting on with my wedding project, I am choosing to stitch this at the moment :)
