I got my ornament in the mail the day we left ...

Re: How to finish a friend's deceased sister's project
That is awesome. You did a wonderful job finishing it and whoever charted it out for you was spot on. You would never know it was a merge of 2 different designs!

Cross stitch related words
I'm doing an embroidery project and I need a lot of cross stitch related words. I am using someone else's design idea, so I thought I might need some different words so it wouldn't be flat out plagiarism!!
These are the words the original design uses...
cross stitch, linen, stash, q-snaps, beads ...

Help with ornament exchange project
Ok, I'm working on my ornament and I'm working it on 14 count plastic canvas. I have 2 questions.
1. How do you cut the sides where you can't tell there are/were holes. I'm afraid if I cut much more, it'll be too close to the design.
2. How do you finish the back? I'm trying to stitch meaty, but ...

Ok, so here is where I am now in the stocking. I am only getting to work on it during little ones gym class...an hour a week. :(
I'm not sure if I'm getting tension equal. Some seem quite a bit tighter than others. I am a tight stitcher normally so I am really having to concentrate on not pulling ...
