Re: Two questions.

Problem solved! My husband found me a piece of wire and I made my own. It is strong and will likely never break. Take that broken threaders!

Re: Two questions.

Well, I am going to have to figure something out. Tonight I worked without a threader and my eyes are just not able to focus on that little hole. Or maybe I am un-coordinated? Either way I need a needle threader. Thanks for all the suggestions. They all look like they will work better than what I ...

Re: Two questions.

I am using DMC sixe 24 tapestry needles. As for the floss, I separate all 6 strands then put three together. If I really try I can thread them floss through without a threader but my eyes, even with my reading glasses are not very good. That is the reason I am using a threader in the first place ...

Re: Two questions.

Not offense taken. I am brand now to all this. It was suggested that I use 24 needle and yes I am having to really tug to get the thread through. I am doing a stamped cross-stitch on a poly/cotton.

Re: Two questions.

I am more baffled than ever! The needle threaders I have been using (and breaking) are so fine I could use them as dental floss. They are just a little more sturdy than the ones you get free in a pack of assorted needles. When I thread the three pieces of floss through they are thicker than the tin ...

Two questions.

My first question has to do with needle threaders. So far I have gone through two of them and I have only been cross stitching for a month! The wire end is just not strong enough to pull the threads through. Does anyone have a needle threader that they can recommend?

My second question is about ...

Re: Needing help, please.

Thank you so much to all of you! I now have some great pointers and I think I will one day be able to wash this project. I am going back over what I have done and anchoring them. I also ordered some fabric glue. From here on out I am really making sure every thread is never going to move.

Re: Needing help, please.

Hello, from British Columbia, Canada!

First of all, thank you! I have some pictures though I am reluctant because I have heard that the back should look as nice as the front and that is certainly not the case. With that said....

The first image that shows a loose brown thread is an example of my ...

Needing help, please.

I am very new to cross stitching, in fact I am working on my first project. As with anything I do, I don't exactly think things through before I start and I have got myself into a problem. I am working on a lap quilt and it is huge! I am about 1/2 way through and I am getting better as I go along ...
