Re: OMG OMG OMG I will miss you all sooo much

But it is for very good reason!

As some of you know Steve and I reserved a plot on a new development back in March. Well they finally started building our little house back in July and two weeks ago we went in for the very first time! We discovered that the tiles in the bathroom were incorrect but ...

Re: DMC Embroidery Floss vs DMC Perel Cotton Ball

The 5200 is the colour number-not like a model number. Dye lots may vary though but they should match up ok as far as colour-of course it might be obvious that it is a different thread type than say the floss or what have you.

Re: Glow in the dark DMC thread

Just PM me your address(es) and I will post a skein. It should look really neat on halloween designs. If you are so inclined I have a rather meager stock of the other light effects colours or variegated -but I'm more interested in pruning my stash than concerned about getting something from it. I ...

Glow in the dark DMC thread

Hi all, I was going through my stash last night and I realised that I somehow I have obtained a rather large overstock of the glow in the dark thread from DMC. As in, like, two whole boxes of it lol. So if anyone wants a skein I'd be more than happy to post it to you (I'm in the US)

Re: St. Nick in his Study HAED starting tonight 6th sept

Mini update: I've got about ~100 stitches in, not much to see but I'm starting to get stuck into it :)

I do most of my stitching at night (I'm on the West of the US) so I'll try and post a pic in the morning.

Re: North Woods Checkerboard pattern

Woo hoo, thanks! I am actually going to contact the publisher and see if I can get a whole back issue as there were some other patterns in there that I liked (stash-o-holic here lol)

But thank you very much for finding it!

Re: St. Nick in his Study HAED

Oh I want to finish this by 2012 that's my goal lol. I got a few stitches done before I had to take the dogs out for their evening jog. I'll take a piccie when I get a few hundred stitches done.

Re: sorting threads from kits

I use those cards with the holes cut out that you hook the thread through and then write the colour info on the line next to the hole. I wish I had someone like Angel to help me sort them though, I hate it lol.

North Woods Checkerboard pattern

I have this half-completed as a UFO and I really really want to finish it. I am looking for information as to where I can obtain the pattern legally. I got it in one of those magazines ( I think it was cross stitch christmas) several years ago. I can't remember the name of the designer, but I think ...

Re: St. Nick in his Study HAED starting tonight 6th sept

heheh, I am *such* a bad stash-o-holic that as I went to start I realised that while I did have all the floss (except for a few colours) the colours I needed to start with weren't on bobbins yet  so, um it's in the frame ready to go as I sit here slowly winding bobbins.

I tend to be a compulsive organiser so I, um, re-ordered the list so that people who haven't listed a preference are first, then people who have listed limitations are second and those who have listed 'anywhere' are third. I am very excited to participate in this stashmas :)

Re: Hello from Oregon

I actually have been using Sulky holoshimmer for gridding (it's expensive but I bought it on clearance a long time ago and the spool I have is a hideous colour so I don't mind getting rid of it) Once I have used that up I will try the fishing line. Someone on the tips forum suggested very fine ...

I wanted to 1) thank the original poster for letting me know about this sale and 2) let you other ladies (and gents) know that it is also good for ordering online! (here is the url for the flyer here ) Anyway, I know that the ladies in the UK probably won't be able to use the sale but I thought ...

Someone once told me to use holoshimmer thread but fishing line sounds sooooo much easier on the old pocketbook! Thanks!
