I haven't tried parking yet (although I do keep multiple needles threaded). From the notes I've seen of other people using the parking method, they simply coil up the thread and clip them together with a hair clip or something similar. They say the threads really don't tangle much.

Has anyone tried using fray check on the edges of Jobelan?

I use Fray-check on just about every fabric I use -- linen, jobelan, lugana, etc. I've tried zipgzag stitching the edges and by the time I'm done with the project, things have frayed. The Fray-check works every time, I haven't had any ...

Coming late to the party, but I use mostly DMC -it's just easier to find and most charts seem to be charted to DMC.

Except, I always use Anchor black and Anchor white - they just seem to be thicker and give better coverage than the DMC version. I don't know why, but it's been very consistent for me.

While I haven't finished an HAED (just started my first one!), I've done a number of large projects and one suggestion I have is to make sure that if you need multiple skeins of a single color, either buy them all at once, or ensure that you get skeins from the same dye lot.
