Re: How do you do this?
I just started telling everyone that if you see me stitching leave me alone. I need to focus so I don't make mistakes. After a few times frogging a project because of the constant interruptions they seemed to get the point. Now I could stitch pretty much anything in secret. I hope he doesn't ...

Re: How many strands should I use to cover?
I haven't worked with Gentle Art Sampler threads yet, but I would imagine it would be the same number of strands. They don't look thicker to me. I'm sure someone will have know the answer. I love this pattern so I hope you post pics! Good luck.

I also separate my threads the way Mabel does. I don't get knots doing it this way and its relatively speedy.

Re: Teresa Wentzler The Castle help please
That first link is for adding/substituting blending filament and cord to the standard design. The other colors were on the bulletin board. I don't have the chart in front of me at the moment but I think it covers all the colors used in the dragon. Your additions of beads and a moon sound amazing, I ...

Re: Teresa Wentzler The Castle help please
There is actually a metallic conversion on Teresa Wentzler's page. There is a lot of good info there about her patterns, like chart corrections and the like. She has a bulletin board too in case you wanted to see other color combination's people have done with the metallics. I know there was a ...

Re: who remembers this
I have this half completed. It's so pretty. I was surprised at how much half stitch was used in this kit. I should dig this out and finish it. I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Encouagement advice needed
I had the same problem with my current project. I followed the advice that everyone here gave me and did a quick little project. I got about 1/3 of the way through it and got the stitching bug again, so I went back to my big project. I agree about not stitchin when you're tired though. Every time I ...

Re: New and need inspiration
Can I ask what you hate about the reading glasses? Are they prescription or over the counter? Could it be you need to change the power?
They're over the counter and the power is fine. I can only really see out of one eye, they other is a complete blur and I can see light and vague color. When I ...

Re: New and need inspiration
That might be the way to go then. I have a mini lighthouse kit in my stash that I could do. I'm a gamer, so usually I just take a stitching break and either play my consoles, or maybe world of warcraft with my other half. For some reason I just have the blahs, so many a nice short project will get ...

Re: New and need inspiration
All I have are not to so awesome cell phone pics of it, but its a Super Mario Bros afghan. I saw a blanket made with Tunisian crochet and it was gorgeous! I am a huge Nintendo fangirl and knew I had to make one, but I don't knit or crochet. I started with plastic canvas when I was 5 and moved up to ...
