Re: Cross Stitch Samplers on Aida

I think for most samplers, you can use Aida if you want. It might be harder to do fractionals, but a nice sharp needle can easily pierce Aida threads. I stitch on linen and evenweaves, and I've found it's often easier to see the threads and holes in the evenweave, even when the count is the same. A ...

Re: Cross Stitch Samplers on Aida

Thank you Wendy for your immediate reply. I am from the Philippines and the LNS here does carry some of what you have mentioned. I will try maybe a small sampler first to see how it will turn out.

Hugs to you!

Cross Stitch Samplers on Aida

Hi! It's been so long since I posted here. Life was so busy specially work that I miss this place so much.

Currently, I am stitching a Little House Needleworks pattern on linen. Though I love stitching on it, it is causing strain on my eyes. I have some samplers that I wanted to stitch and am ...

Re: HAED - to tent or not to tent/fabric choices

I really don't care what the back looks like as long as the front looks good and the coverage is good! That's why you'll never see me posting pics on the Show Your Backside thread, lol!! :D

Same here Dana! I never care how my back looks like as long as my front looks fine. And I never show my ...

Re: Crochet too loose?

Your tension looks fine to me. Actually, when I first saw it, it looks tight. I think for afghans, loose tension is okay since tighter tension will make the afghan hard. Just my opinion :)

Re: What do you do when you hate stitching PART of a design?

I used to hate so much the re-threading of needles until I used needle threaders and my homemade needle organizer. Now it's easier specially with those blended/tweeded threads.

You can see the my favorite Dritz needle threader here, second photo:
