Glad to say I've finished Soul of the Rose, and I'm working on DMC's Snow Queen Fairy - just started that this week, so progress pics coming soon...

Thanks, everyone! I'll post another pic up next week. I've got a day off work on Wednesday (I work every other saturday, so I get a day off during the week instead) so I plan on sitting a stitching for most of the day!

Oooh, I shall be watching with interest to see what they'll turn out to be... though I think there's a tree starting to form in that pic.... lots of black, some greens and brown - a night-time tree, maybe?

Considering I've not stitched for a number of years, and I leapt right in the deep end with a huge piece I'm still working on, I'm really pleased I've finished this!

Faith - the beads in her hair, along with parts of her dress, are cross-stitched using a combination of metallic and normal thread. The photo doesn't show it, but a lot of the brown areas in her dress (though not all!) have metallic threads running through them.

Willow - I've lost the front of the packaging that tells you exactly, but it's about 10 and 1/2 inches wide and I reckon about 22-24 inches high.

Thank you! :D There's loads of metallic threads in this one, which I'm not used to, so they're proving to be a challenge, but it's still fun. :D I have made a few errors (I'm a couple of columns out on one side) but that no longer daunts me like it used to. There was a time when I'd have given up ...
