Re: Family tree
Thank you all - so kind! I am definitely going through a phase of enjoying it very much again - so it's a delight to crack on with that blue sky (plenty of blue sky here to match in India most days!)

Crikey! You're fast - and it looks great - brilliant present for your friend to accomplish this for her little one. I love the idea of taking daily photos for her - you can slideshow these in future as a timelapse (you just need Kevin McCloud to do the Grand Designs voiceover?)

What a beautifully finished kat/cat - love it (my niece is a Mia so she has a meerkat toy named "Mia-kat" so I must get her something similar one day - thanks for the inspiration!) I adore samplers - what a gorgeous one - yes, absolutely agree about "authentic" mistakes (not that I can see any) - I ...

Fabulous! Yes, I agree completely about too limp/too firm a fabric being a nightmare - newly appreciative now of all the times that doesn't happen of course...hope he likes this - I'm sure he will - it's very cool and wonderful to have a personalised and thoughtful present.

Re: Baby sampler, Humphrey's Corner 1st finish!
Lucky them - what a super idea. Ouch, yes I remember doing a Humph birthday card and being rather flummoxed by the sketchy back stitching - less about the design "popping" out and more drawing the eye around the picture in an offhand sort of way I guess - lovely progress & look forward to latest ...

Oh no we all here hope that you feel much better soon. I have nearly fallen asleep stitching several times this month - nothing compared with having undiagnosed medical issues, but even that scared me - so hang on in there, take your time

I can't believe I've missed this. Our 2 year old watches the movie almost daily (ok twice daily if I'd let her) - what a stunning project and you must indeed be almost driven to distraction by that meadow!

Thanks again all - some good progress this week now and am contemplating attempting both borders (had previously planned to forego the outer border) - I love doing borders so here's hoping there'll be time!
