thanks for the advice (i'm a beginner!).
the pattern is from the September issue of CrossStitcher Magazine, and it's by Julia Rigby. It's the pattern for the free little kit that comes with the magazine (for aperture cards - a flower pattern and an owl).

chart question - 2 colours in one square
hi,
how do i interpret a pattern that shows two different colours inside one square on the chart? in the pattern i'm following, some of the squares are shaded in one colour in one half and another colour in the other half (split across the diagonal). i'm not really sure what i'm supposed to do here ...
