its actually a dark brown (DMC 3371) but that was part of it, I did get quite burned out, but the biggest thing is that I got a virus in the nerve behind my left eye. it took a little over a year to get a diagnosis. I'm back!!! I got burned out and stopped stitching for a long time, but I finally picked it up again and finished this piece.




now to get it washed, blocked, mounted and framed.

another update. I had to put it aside for a few weeks to finish up a baby gift.

Everything is stitched already but the words....I do really like the idea of the pink and lilac. Ithat is why I post on here, ya'll have some great ideas. So any suggestions for the purple colors, I need 2

It's stitching up fast. I started on Pg 2 since Pg 1 is all black.

When I went into the stitching shop, I found one package of 18 count white mis-stocked with the 25 ...

a few quick questions:
My local stitching shop doesn't have white 18 count right now, How would this pattern look if I went with a 22 or 25 count and did tent stitches? This pattern has some blended threads, so I have to do 2 threads, and I think that would be too much to do full crosses on 25 count

Skitzzzzz worked her tail off on this pattern for me. It is going to be stitched on 18 count 2 over 1. and will be 10" X 14.25" it has 76 colors, including 3 blended colors. She took out the people in the background, so it is just solid black now.

I had to change the gate. The original design violated my sense of perspective. I think it looks better now, not perfect, but better than before.

I messed this one up big time. I miscounted and the sign is down lower than it should be, his leg is one stitch too wide and his nose is off a little

I use the Pres-on Self Stick mounting board most of the time. It works OK if the piece does not need to be stretched into shape. I have tried lacing, but I guess I wasn't doing it right, because I had a very hard time with it.
