Re: Phoenix Fairy
I am enjoying this one so much. Although the page I'm on at the moment seems to be just one stitch of each colour!
Here are two pictures, one of the whole thing so far and one of closer up of the bit I'm doing at the moment.

I really admire all you HAED stitchers out there who do these on the 25 count. I must admit I would like to give it ago some time but I can't help thinking that it must be easier on the 18 count aida that this is on.

Re: Phoenix Fairy
This is looking wonderful! I can sympathize with the one or two stitches of a color. The fractal I'm doing (75x200 stitches) has 78 colors! I only get to do a couple of stitches of a color before having to switch.

Re: Phoenix Fairy
Looks like she's nearly done??!! What incredible colours!
About the aida/evenweave thing... I used to think evenweave would be so much harder, but now I actually prefer it, mainly because I can use tent stitch with them being that much smaller, the coverage is still good, and of course it gets it done twice as fast - so I say well done you for doing all of this in ful crosses!!!

Holy moly, are you sure this is cross-stitch? It looks like an air-brushed picture. This is beautiful.

Re: Phoenix Fairy
This seems to be going a bit slowly at the moment but here is the latest update.

Seem to be too tired at the end of the day to do as much as normal.
You can think of me tomorrow coz I finally have a job interview. Part time staffing administrator at a local school which would be ideal so let's hope!
If not I guess it will be back to filling in endless application forms and then never hearing anything back. Thank goodness for the relaxation of cross stitch.
