Can anyone recommend any font or border books?

Hi, I've started to make my own cross stitch patterns and wanted to add my own writing using a decorative font and border. Can anyone recommend any books or software that offer design ideas for me to try..

Hello, if you look at the "internet sites" thread, I am sure you'll find some free alphabets there, perhaps they will do as a start.

I'm new to this and was looking through past pages.
Your quest may already have ended but I have a lot of cross stitch patterns which I'm trying to relocate to good homes on behalf of a friend. She has been a cross stitch addict all her life but sadly can't do it any more as she has bad arthritis.

So, I have
Borders, Borders and more Borders by Dale Burdett (a 48 page soft-cover book),
Mini Designs and Borders by Dale Burdett (a leaflet of 30 border designs)
101 Alphabets by Dale Burdett (a 64 page soft-cover book)
The Ultimate Cross Stitch Alphabet Book (a 45 page soft-cover book with over 100 alphabets from American School of Needlework)

If you are interested, let me know if you need more info. I could post it/them to you. I am trying to raise a little donation for my friend, so would prefer to sell for a small amount (£1 each, perhaps, plus postage) than give away. They are in very good condition.
