This is going to be lovely to watch and I think I sort of get how you can enjoy background of all one colour because you'll see such a great amount of progress and when you get to the more fiddly bits, you won't mnd them at all.

I'll take one tomorrow before I leave for work..It's not that exciting yet since I've only stitched dark navy blue..but you can definitely see some progress. I'm gonna try to get some more stitching in tonight. I'm actually liking just doing one color for right now and I've almost used an entire skein of the navy blue. :D

Okay here's the first update. I had some time to stitch on it last night so got a couple hundred more stitches in. Almost half way through page 1.

Image

I haven't filled in the few little stitches in the middle there. Those will be light blue and purple. Figured I would just finish up all the dark navy blue for the page and then fill those in at the end.

It's looking good already as you can see where the stars are going to go :D
What fabric are you using for this, not sure if you've already said?
I've also found that it goes quicker if you concentrate on each page overall rather than 10x10 columns which I started off doing :)

It's on 18ct aida. Yes I agree on concentrating on the whole page instead of the 10x10 blocks. For some reason, I've never really been able to just do 10x10 blocks. I'm more of a cross country stitcher although I've been a bit better with HAED's on just trying to finish each page as I go. :D

That is a lot of stitching. It is going to be so fun when you get a chance to add some colors. It will give you something to look forward to. :D :applesauce:
