What do you keep your cross stitch stuff in?

Re: What do you keep your cross stitch stuff in?
I've got one of those sets of plastic drawers with charts/mags in the bottom, to keep it weighted. The other drawers have WIPs, kits and bits and bobs in them. I use bobbin boxes for storing threads and transfer them to small sized Really Useful boxes (which I got cheap from Woolies) if I'm working on a project. I get the plastic wallets from Wilkinsons or pound shops for each WIP. I have a basket next to my chair for keeping my work when I'm working on it. I don't have the luxury of a separate room but I do try and keep things together. I also have a Pako needle holder which I bought recently. I don't know how I managed without it!

Someone mentioned this in another thread (no clue which one at the moment), and I thought it was said that they were only sold overseas (UK, etc), but this site is quite obviously US based and now I am hopelessly obsessed - especially as I don't have a dedicated craft room (oh to have more space).....if only we were all millionaires and could buy these wonderful contraptions and fill them to the gills with stash!!!

Wow. Want. It might be a bit excessive for my tiny stash though.

Nice item, but it would encourage you to fill it or the sapce would just be wasted. I like things like this, I have my cumputer in a cupboard similar to this it means at the end of the day I can just shut the doors and the room still looks tidy.

[Un]fortunately, there's a local retailer right down the road from my parent's house that supposedly stocks these things.....I'm probably going to visit them for a few days next week.....the horrors I can only imagine will ensue!

Just had a look at the 'Workbox' - great idea, but 'ONLY $1295" ??? Ouch! Guess I'll stick to my plastic drawers for larger stash items, filing cabinets for booklets, and plastic bobbin cases for thread. Oh, to be rich . . . .

I'd love one of those Workboxes, or a Craftbox, or even one of the Miniboxes! Of course, I'd need a room to keep it in and have all my craft stash together.
I just sorted all my fabrics into a nappy storage box with a handle that was only being used for a handful of baby toiletries and so was wasted space. My flosses are all on bobbins in plastic bobbin boxes, and my kits (which are all just small ones as they're mostly freebies from magazines) are all in the new box I got (the DMC gift box which came with 30 skeins of floss - yummy!) along with my scissors, needles and thread sorters. My cross stitch books and a large lever arch file containing charts from magazines are all next to the fabric box in the corner next to the sofa where I nit to stitch. My projects in progress are all in individual ziplock bags inside a clear bag to keep them all together, and also sit next to the sofa.
