whew!

Post by rubyviolet »

it's been ages since i've been on the forum! i just wanted to let everyone know i didn't run off and hide! within the past 2-3 weeks i've had job interviews, manager training at work, advisor meetings for school, registration, tuition payments to get settled and i've been having it out with the local telephone company because i can't use my landline phone (i haven't been able to since may) and they refuse to come fix it or reimburse me the money i've paid to have it. arg!

anyway, i should be back now since most of those things are taken care of! i'm on my way to the telephone company right now to have another go at it. hopefully i can get it taken care of this time

Welcome back and tell the T-phone people to get it together. Why do they think they can mess with people that way is beyond me. I hate having to fight with companies like that but they force you into it. Give them the business.

heh, i know rose! i wouldn't have been upset at all by it if they just came to fix it, but they have to deny there is even a problem. i had a jury summons too, and it took me less time to get out of jury duty than it did to get my phone worked out

Welcome back!

Sorry to hear about your frustrations.

At our local T-phone company, you have to make an appointment if you want to see them. They keep the building locked! No kidding! You have to call them, tell them when you'll be there, and they will have someone open the door for you. I've experienced it personally.
My husband is in construction and has to do it all the time.

Good luck!

Wow I have never heard of that one before. Are they really that bad that they need to have a locked door policy in place. Makes you wonder how the employees feel being locked in all day. I would feel like a zoo animal.

I don't know the reasoning behind it all, but once you get in, the people are very nice.

that's weird! i live in a small town (400-500 people) and some of the businesses are appointment only. but, in a small town like this where you can stay open all day and not get one person, it's understandable.
