Issue 203. It has sheep! Part of a blackwork masterclass. Could be like the French cows, or the Easter Eggs... I'm already thinking how to make a 'black sheep' for DH...

We don't actually have postmen here in abu dhabi, everyone has po boxes or have their mail delivered to their office, but I did get a package with various books from amazon, not that I have time to read at the mo but nice to have them all the same

Well, not the postie, but I bought these yesterday and thought you might like to see some stash

I got a cushion pad, fabric and cord to make another cushion - this time for the Pearl hardanger project, some fabric for my stitch club Stitching Basket project and some gorgeous silk for no reason other than I saw it in the shop and just couldn't resist it :D :D :D

Mags that was the first time I've tried cording. I've no idea how it's meant to be done properly - I just slip stitched it all in place and tried to hide the ends tucked into the envelope part of the back of the cushion  It gives a nice finish to the cushion though, so I thought I'd do it again with this one.

Not remotely stitchy but at least hobby-related, Gray's valentines gift came today (a day late, but still very much appreciated by him!) I got him a backpack to carry his cases of miniatures in, he's recently started playing Warhammer and really likes it :)

Of course I had to go and look how to do it - and found a nice site with lots of different cushions and other stuff. This one shows cording:

I received a wonderful surprise today: the other day I was asking if anyone new what can be used to hold the Aida bands for bookmarks, and minij suggested a frame called Siesta. She not only suggested it, but actually sent me one!!!! You are so kind, Janet, thank you very much!

Also, I got my copy of New Stitches, with our Mabel in it, of course, that was the first thing I looked at.

Thanks Mags I've bookmarked this site - it's got some great ideas. I love the little stacks of lavender bags too - someone bought lavender just recently, for a biscornu I think?
