New Stitcher to the forum

Greetings from sunny Florida!!!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a life long sticher, starting at a very young age. Cross Stitching is a staple in a favorite aunts life. She has been disabled since birth and was dubbed the family babysitter when we were all children. She couldn't get out and run around with us girls, so she taught us to stitch. 30 years later, she is still stitching daily and considers it her little "job".

I travel quite a bit, but take my stitching everywhere that I go. I've been a part of several stitching message groups, but found this today while browsing for something else.

Hi I'm a lapsed cross stitcher.... Its been several years since I last picked up a needle and thread.. but now I'm back for good or until my eyesight of fingers give out whichever is first lol. I came across this site by a google search and I'm really looking forward to becoming a regular on here stitching permitting of course. Part of the reason I'm back is because I just lost my dad to luekeamia in january and find I need to do something positive and have decided to take up stitching again as it keeps me occupied and also if done well enough I maybe able to sell or raffle projects and send the proceeds to he local hospital who cared for him so amazingly. take care all for now and chat again soon
