I intend to do my HAEDs on 18ct aida, full cross, since 25ct fabric is very hard to find here, and also my eyes will be strained too much if I do it on higher counts. Aside from the finished size becoming larger, how about the appearance, will it still be that distinct? And are there any other things I have to consider?
I'm doing my HAED on 18ct and the only other factor to consider is that it will use a lot more thread than 25ct, especially as you will have to use two threads. I think the detail in mine is good - but I haven't really got enough of it done yet to say, for sure, that it isn't 'losing' something.
Many years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.
I'm only part-way into stitching an HAED on 18-count, but it doesn't seem to be losing any of the details as the stitches are still quite small. I'm using 2 threads over 1 and the coverage is great.
I have done all my HAED's on 18 count with 3x1. So far so good!

Lovely to have another new member that we can corrupt - sorry - encourage! You will regret asking this but HAED is www. heavenandearthdesigns.com, won't say any more - just have a look and come back and tell us you can't find a thing that you want to stitch!
Happy Stitching (from a HAEDcase!)
