I am starting a new project to work on in rotation with my castle project. I wanted to do a Beatles-inspired stitch for my brother, since he loved the last one I did (Strawberry Fields). He lives with me though, so I really don't think I could stitch it without him seeing it. Since he's going to see it anyway, I let him pick out the pattern and fabric. He chose "All We Are Saying..." by monsterbubbles. It's a trippy kind of design, so we decided to use a funky fabric. I'm stitching it over 2 on 36 count linen from Picture This Plus in "Crystal Masqerade". The design is 340x90 and uses Thread Gatherer Silk N Colors. Here is what the finished product will look like:
I just got the fabric last night, so I've just started on the first flower:
I love the fabric, I think it will be just perfect for this design

What a great design and choice of fabric!
The bright colours will be fun to stitch and it's so cheerful. Reminds me of why I chose my current SAL, The Nest.
Have fun with this one!

Well I managed to work on this quite a bit over the long weekend
I ran into a bit of a problem with the fabric - it's a little more teal / blue-green than I anticipated - I was expecting more of a yellowy-green. 2 of the threads called for in the pattern seem to blend into the fabric. Luckily I had some extra silks on hand so was able to find some suitable substitutes. Hopefully it will still turn out well. Here is my progress so far:
Here are the 2 original colors specified:
And here are my substitutions:
