Re: Creating something together - started! Please, join us :)
I have done two more bands: the first is a bit modified versions of pixxie's band, the second is an element from Zeb's band (since it was too big) repeated.

I am planning to continue with some of Smiley's, and I have drawn some bands again, will be using these, too:

A few more little patterns - I was just drawing iddly, really - but some of them are not bad, I think.

And one I made for my bottom:

And Ta-daaaa
I have finished!!!!

Stil have to do something with the hems, though.
Some close ups of the top and bottom:

Hope to see others work on this. It was great fun. Thanks everyone for the patterns.

Spurred on by Agi finishing hers, I have now finished mine.
Not finally decided what to do with it. Thought about a needleroll but I haven't left enough fabric at the top. So I think I might get some wooden bellpull ends and hang it up.

Ta DA!
So a few weeks ago I was bored at work so started mucking around with a design for my band sampler. Since then it has had many alterations (bands added, bands started then discarded...) but over Easter I finished it!
Stitched on 28ct sparkly evenweave over 2 using Gumnut Yarns, Madeira and Cifonda Silks (Mabel will be proud!) and a 4mm silk ribbon for the roses (colours chosen as I went along
):
In whole:

Top and bottom halves:

Sections of my favourite bands - I really love how these sections turned out (theres a second sampler now designed using these again...
)

(Note: Some of the bands have been inspired by designs of Blackwork Journey and Seba Designs)
