Yes and no. I suspect your geishas are more complex in a lot of places, but mine is almost entirely blue, which does make it fairly hard at times.

I've done two more lengths of white on white tonight, so it's getting there, slowly but surely.

Thank you ^_^ I did two more lengths of white on white last night, as well as some blue on a forget me not and a length of cream in the blossoms...All by the light of my red lamp as we've blown all the bulbs in the living room :P So there are insane shadows everywhere and the light is actually a pinkish colour...stitching like this is very hard, but also kinda...fun I suppose...Still, you can't see much progress, but I'm happy knowing it's there.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! I have finished all the white on white of that lantern! I still have another white lantern to stitch, and I have made a start on it, but I have a feeling that one will be easier too as this one had so much confetti white on white! It was so hard! I've also got a lot of light grey on white to do on this one, but that shouldn't be too bad...

started on the upper part of the arm of the dress last night, lots of reds but am actually starting to see progress, like it sooo much ordered another one yesterday - the Japanese garden

It's really looking fab Angel and even though the white on white is a pain, it's definitely worth the effort because it's gorgeous!

According to the kit cover it's 11" x 14" :P I've said 17" before, but I totally forgot about the 3" boarder of empty fabric around the whole thing

Oooh I'm going to google your new kit, it sounds lovely. Japan has such beautiful gardens and kimono, I love looking at them. I'm glad your starting to see progress on your current kit ^_^

Thank you all for your support. I'm not sure I could have got through all he confetti white on white without you!     I think I'll leave the other white Lantern for a bit, finish the grey of this one and the other lanterns first as the other white lantern involves adjusting my scroll frame :P So finally, you'll have something to look at in my progress pictures again ^_^
